I was flattered to be invited to talk to guests at a business event at the prestigious hotel at Rudding Park, near Harrogate, North Yorkshire last June which was themed around nature. As well as making the after dinner speech I gave an art demonstration and there was an exhibition of some of my artwork.
I was so honoured and excited to be invited to visit the Aireborough Learning Partnership Trust art exhibition, which this year focused on the use of recycled materials in the artworks produced by the 12-member schools.
Anita Bowerman has been the Artist in Residence at Hazlewood Castle and has spent many happy hours sketching and painting there. Hazlewood Castle continues to evolve and is now launching a Woodland Venue. Anita was commissioned by Hazlewood to create two Woodland Wedding concept paintings in gouache.
I am pleased to announce the launch of my new website at https://anitabowerman.co.uk.
My new site includes a store where you can purchase my original paintings and drawings as well as paper cuts and stainless-steel artworks.
Much of my original art is also available as giclée open or limited-edition prints.
Last year I was so privileged to be introduced, via a friend, to the Nuns of Stanbrook Abbey in North Yorkshire and to discover that back in the 17th Century they used to paper cut as a way to earn a living. In November 2017, I was invited to teach a class of Nuns aged from 30 up to 80 the art of paper cutting.
This Harrogate map is the third major paper cutting project I set myself. The original artwork was sold to an American collector. The map is available as a laser paper cut, three sizes of Giclée print as well as hand printed on luxurious velvet cushions, which can all be purchased for UK delivery via this website.
