As a Yorkshire artist based in Harrogate, I am absolutely drawn to the iconic cherry blossom trees on the Stray and I set up my equipment to start painting. I was very lucky that the Yorkshire Post photographer happened to be passing as I was painting and took a great shot which appeared in his paper.

I was commissioned to create a front cover for The Harrogate Review, Tour de Yorkshire 2017 edition. I was happy to get involved and lots of drawing, measuring and paper cutting ensued. The end result was a miniature paper cut map depicting the route of Stage 2 of the Tour de Yorkshire 2017.

The London Silver Vaults art commission

The London Silver Vaults is occupied with shops selling beautiful silver. I was contacted to see if I would be interested in designing 1.5 metre wide paper cut backdrops for three display cabinets in the entrance. One backdrop was based on London Docklands, another a country estate and finally one of Berkeley Square.

Virgin Money Sheffield stainless steel artwork

I was asked to produce a 1.5 metre diameter stainless steel wheel artwork depicting the antique and vintage cutlery produced in Sheffield. This is now displayed in the luxurious new Virgin Money Lounge in Sheffield. Apparently, the customers really love it!
