I am thrilled and honoured to have been appointed as the Artist-in-Residence at RHS Garden Harlow Carr in Harrogate. I have just completed the first in a series of 12 paintings I will be creating over the forthcoming 12 months. The full collection will go on display at Harlow Carr’s flower show from 21 to 23 June 2019.
I was flattered to be invited to talk to guests at a business event at the prestigious hotel at Rudding Park, near Harrogate, North Yorkshire last June which was themed around nature. As well as making the after dinner speech I gave an art demonstration and there was an exhibition of some of my artwork.
I am pleased to announce the launch of my new website at https://anitabowerman.co.uk.
My new site includes a store where you can purchase my original paintings and drawings as well as paper cuts and stainless-steel artworks.
Much of my original art is also available as giclée open or limited-edition prints.
This Harrogate map is the third major paper cutting project I set myself. The original artwork was sold to an American collector. The map is available as a laser paper cut, three sizes of Giclée print as well as hand printed on luxurious velvet cushions, which can all be purchased for UK delivery via this website.
Hand printed velvet cushions seem to me to be the perfect way to combine my paper cutting artwork with my extensive interior design experience. The cushions make a great gift and can be purchased online here for delivery across the UK (international deliveries by special arrangement).
Blue is one of my favourite colours and I felt compelled to sit amongst the Bluebells and put paint to canvas. After an altercation with some cows I finally set to painting the young trees growing through the thick carpet of bluebells and the end result was Blue Blue Bluebells.
