Commission for Continued Care, Harrogate – The Rainbow of Hope

There is something so special and magical about rainbows and during the pandemic it became a symbol of hope. Indeed, I was asked to create a painting by Samantha Harrison, director of Continued Care, a home care service based in Harrogate that would symbolise all the hard work and dedication her home care staff showed during the difficult and worrying time of the Covid crisis of Summer 2020.

I was thus inspired to paint the names of more than 135 carers and office staff within a rainbow that arches over the Yorkshire countryside.

This story featured in the Yorkshire Post, Harrogate Advertiser and Radio York, have a look at the article here.

Amazing press photographs by Simon Dewhurst.
