I was approached to collaborate with Jo Malone London Harrogate to celebrate the launch of a beautiful new fragrance inspired by the British coastline called "Sea Salt and Bergamot". They wanted a local artist who could hand paint limited edition presentation boxes for their customers on two dates Sunday 8th August and Sunday 13th September 10am - 3pm. They chose me because I am a nature based artist and loved my artwork.

So I had a meeting and submitted my design of a fresh, turquoise and blue sparkling wave which was approved by Shaun the Manager who had exactly the same idea.
I hand-painted elegant presentation boxes for customers purchasing the new fragrance. Each box will become a unique keepsake and can also be personalised with the recipient's initials, creating an extra-special gift. Each box came with a Limited Edition Certificate signed by me and the lid of the perfume bottle can be engraved free of charge.
Alongside the launch, I exhibited a small collection of my original paintings inspired by the beauty of Yorkshire's landscapes, giving visitors the opportunity to enjoy both fine fragrance and fine art in one special event.
"I am absolutely delighted to be collaborating with Jo Malone London Harrogate. It's a wonderful opportunity to combine my love of art with the elegance and craftsmanship that Jo Malone London is known for. I would love people to come along, discover this beautiful new fragrance and say hello."

I was asked to create a special painting for the prestigious annual Berry’s Tennis Event by Martin Wicks, owner of Hazlewood Castle. This is a magnificent 12th-century castle hotel set in spectacular surroundings near York. As the Artist-in-Residence here, I have many
paintings displayed throughout the castle.

Spring presents the most amazing spectacle and in a short window early May, the Cherry Blossoms burst forth followed by the Bluebells and sometimes at the same time. I love being outside in the elements capturing these sights.

My background to painting outside stems from early childhood. No matter what the weather - I'll always try and paint outside of my studio to capture the subject matter be it animals, landscapes or as is often the case - a combination!
