Prunus, Cherry Plum Trees at Newby Hall (Original, Unframed)

Spring is around the corner when you see stunning Cherry blossoms all around.  I painted these trees outside in March just using the end of a fallen cherry tree twig to paint with, dipped into acrylic paint and mixing the blossoms in the same way. I was drawn to paint this vista with the Ferry Memorial in view at Newby Hall, Ripon in Yorkshire
 
During a period of time at Newby Hall in Yorkshire - I created a collection of paintings of iconic, well-loved scenes of this magnificent building and its wonderful gardens.
