This original painting in acrylic, gouache and ink, which was created in July 2019 at RHS Garden Harlow Carr, is framed in a pale wood frame.
Anita found it wondrous sitting outside on various sunny days to paint this scene, reminiscent of Monet's waterlily pond. Birds came and sat with her as Dragon Flies hovered nearby, which Anita has captured in the painting.
She used moss, twigs and leaves, dipped into acrylic paint to create the trees and shrubs, adding detail on the pond with a brush.
Anita has been appointed the Artist-in-Residence at RHS Garden Harlow Carr and this is the eleventh in a series of 12 paintings she will be creating up to the end of her residency in September 2019.
