I was very fortunate to have access to the gardens at Newby Hall, Ripon, Yorkshire in the Autumn, and Winter when the award-winning Gardens and the House are shut to the public. I am creating a collection of paintings of iconic, well-loved scenes of Newby Hall over the Seasons, around the gardens.
I loved painting this tranquil vista using my signature, moss, leaves and fallen twigs dipped into acrylic paint to create texture. Butterflies and bees were everywhere keeping me company. They loved the profusion of different coloured flowers.
This artwork is part of a collection of Newby Hall iconic scenes I am painting outside around the Gardens.
