Summer Symphony - Muker Haymeadows (original canvas - framed)

I finally painted these breathtaking ancient haymeadows, North Yorkshire with winding dry stone walls and centuries old field barns.  Painting in acrylic after a time immersed in the meadows, I wanted to capture the beauty of early summer as the flowers reach their peak.  Hundreds of individually painted wildflowers - including ox-eye daisies, red clover, common spotted orchids and delicate meadow grasses - bring the foreground to life with a hare and curlew nestled into the flowers.  The sweeping valley, dry stone walls and the solitary tree lead you through this peaceful Yorkshire landscape.

This original painting is a celebration of Yorkshire’s beauty and would make a striking centrepiece for any home, bringing the tranquility and breathtaking charm of the Yorkshire Dales indoors all year round.
