Spring is around the corner when you see stunning Cherry blossoms all around. I painted these trees outside in March just using the end of a fallen cherry tree twig to paint with, dipped into acrylic paint and mixing the blossoms in the same way. I was drawn to paint this vista with the Ferry Memorial in view at Newby Hall, Ripon in Yorkshire
I have been invited to paint in the gardens at Newby Hall, Ripon, Yorkshire in the Autumn, and Winter when the award-winning Gardens and the House are shut to the public. I am creating a collection of paintings of iconic, well-loved scenes of Newby Hall over the Seasons, around the gardens.
This artwork is part of a collection of Newby Hall iconic scenes I am painting outside around the Gardens.
