An Original Artwork celebrating the passion, precision and prestige of the Berry's Tennis Event.
I was commissioned by the owner of Hazlewood Castle to create this painting for the Berry’s Tennis event here. It took about 100 hours to complete.
I took the watercolour paper to paint outside at Hazlewood Castle and used fallen twigs and moss dipped into acrylic paint to create the trees and landscape. I then used gouache, a thick watercolour to illustrate the castle, audience and tennis players creating the atmosphere of a glorious sunny day with everyone enjoying themselves in the grounds of this 12th century castle which is situated near York. The painting is painted onto watercolour paper has deckled edges, it is float mounted.
The frame is wood frame which will suit any décor. This artwork offers collectors and tennis enthusiasts an opportunity to own a distinctive visual interpretation of one of the sport's most celebrated occasions featuring renowned tennis players Henri Leconte
and Xavier Malisse.
Limited Edition Prints are available.
