The Lily Pond in the Walled Garden, Castle Howard (Original, Framed)

Inspired by Monet’s colours I loved painting this fish pond in deep hues of French Ultramarine and cobalt blue with the complimentary carp in bright orange swimming around. The formal privet hedges and flowers were painted in my signature way by dipping moss, leaves and twigs into acrylic paint and applying to the watercolour paper.
