The Water Babies sculpture fountain of children playing sits in the middle of Valley Gardens Park in Harrogate. It is beloved by local people and the fountain appears just in the Summer tucked away in Winter for safe keeping. I loved painting this scene ‘en plein air’ absorbing the Autumn colours. I used twigs, leaves and moss to create the textural effects of the foliage and trees.
