Crimson Glory Vine at RHS Garden Harlow Carr, October

This original acrylic painting, which was created in October 2018 at RHS Garden Harlow Carr, is framed in a pale wood frame.

Anita painted sitting on the lawn at the bottom of the main borders next to the Bath House in glorious sunshine. The autumnal colours revealed themselves over the days she was painting as the leaves on the trees turned from green to hues of crimson, red and orange.  Even a pheasant scurried by as did a flighty squirrel with a nut in its mouth.

Anita used a twig, leaves, grass and moss dipped in acrylic paint to perfectly capture every detail.

Anita has been appointed the Artist-in-Residence at RHS Garden Harlow Carr and this is the second in a series of 12 paintings she will be creating up to September 2019.
