I painted this outside on Harrogate’s Stray in May with the sun shining and the Cherry Blossom at their peak in full bloom. I just used the end of twig to paint this artwork, dipping the end into acrylic paint and applying to the canvas to depict the trees and each blossom. A photographer happened to be passing by and captured me painting, the photograph appeared on the front cover Yorkshire Post. Serendipity. I paint outside every year and these cherry blossom paintings have become my signature pieces. I think this has an almost oriental feeling to it, a unique piece.
