Prunus, Cherry Plum Trees at Newby Hall (Original Painting, Unframed)

ABA70198

Spring is around the corner when you see stunning Cherry blossoms all around.  I painted these trees outside in March just using the end of a fallen cherry tree twig to paint with, dipped into acrylic paint and mixing the blossoms in the same way. I was drawn to paint this vista with the Ferry Memorial in view at Newby Hall, Ripon in Yorkshire

I have been invited to paint in the gardens at Newby Hall, Ripon, Yorkshire in the Autumn, and Winter when the award-winning Gardens and the House are shut to the public. I am creating a collection of paintings of iconic, well-loved scenes of Newby Hall over the Seasons, around the gardens.

See the original paintings at my solo exhibition at Newby Hall in The Grantham Room from 28th March until the end of June 2024. Limited Edition Prints and cards are also available from the Newby Hall Shop or via my website.
Email me for 2 free tickets to the Garden which allows access to the exhibition too.
