A Carpet of Bluebells in the Woods

ABA70147

Collections: Archive

I sat outside and painted this scene featuring the palest blues in all shades in amongst the shady wood. A pheasant ran by. A perfect countryside scene. I used natural objects I found on the ground such as moss to paint the leaves and fallen twigs to paint the trees, mixing the paint with the end of twigs to paint the bluebell flowers individually.  This painting has almost an Impressionistic feel to it.

Framed in a white wood box frame.
